A separate automation system was built to handle data processing, enrichment and description generation before passing fully structured output into Shopware. This made it possible to ingest both existing and future catalogue items flexibly, allowing AI to function as the scalable catalogue engine while Shopware handled commerce, customer experience and sales operations.
Shopware 6 was selected for its stability and its ability to manage high product volumes. A reliable import layer was implemented to support continuous catalogue growth, allowing large batches of product data—including entirely new product ranges—to be ingested and updated without manual intervention.
A dedicated AI solution generated product descriptions, extracted or scraped technical details and automatically categorised items using structured rules. The system produced clean, validated outputs that Shopware could ingest directly, reducing workload on the client and ensuring consistent product quality across more than 10,000 items.
A modern theme was created with clear UX patterns tailored to sport and fashion retail. Backend workflows were aligned with the AI automation pipeline, enabling scheduled imports, attribute updates and enrichment routines. This allowed the client to focus on commercial priorities rather than daily catalogue maintenance.
